Football has become one of my passions from last few years. I am going to discuss about my favourite football clubs and tell why I like them. They are as follows:
1. Real Madrid
Real Madrid is a professional association football club based in Madrid, Spain. It is the most successful team in Spanish football and was voted by FIFA as the most successful club of the 20th century, having won a record 31 La Liga titles, 17 Spanish "Copa del Rey" Cups, eight Spanish Supercups, one Eva Duarte Cup, a record nine European Cups, two UEFA Cups, one UEFA Supercup, three Intercontinental Cups.
The signings of world best football players in recent years such as Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham,Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo has made Real Madrid one of the most popular clubs in world football.
I like this club because of its unending desire to score goals and signing the best football players.
2. Manchester United
Manchester United is an English professional football club who play at Old Trafford in Stretford, Greater Manchester. Having won a joint-record 18 league titles, a record 11 FA Cups and four League Cups, Manchester United is one of the most successful clubs in the history of English football. The club is one of the wealthiest and most widely supported football teams in the world.
I like this club because of their playing style and the ability to produce young stars into best football players. Such example is David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
3. FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona is one of only three clubs never to have been relegated from La Liga and is the most successful club in Spanish football along with Real Madrid, having won twenty La Liga titles, a record twenty-five Spanish Cups, eight Spanish Super Cups, four Eva Duarte Cups and two League Cups. They are also one of the most successful clubs in European football having won fourteen official major trophies in total, including ten UEFA competitions.They have won three UEFA Champions League titles, a record four UEFA Cup Winners' Cups, a record three Inter-Cities Fairs Cups (the forerunner to the UEFA Europa League), three UEFA Super Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup. The club is also the only European side to have played continental football in every season since its inception in 1955.
On 2 February 2009, Barcelona reached a total of 5,000 La Liga goals. The goal was converted by Lionel Messi in a game against Racing Santander, which Barça won 2–1.Later that year, on 18 December 2009, Barcelona beat Estudiantes 2–1 to win their sixth title in a year and became the first ever football team to complete the sextuple. Of other title records Barcelona holds the record for most Copa del Rey titles (25) and a joint record with Real Madrid for the most Spanish Supercups with 8 titles.
I like this club because of their natural style of playing football and scoring goals while creating play.
4.Chelsea F.C
Chelsea Football Club are an English professional football club based in West London.they play in the Premier League and have spent most of their history in the top tier of English football. Chelsea have been English champions four times, FA Cup winners six times and League Cup winners four times. Chelsea is one of those teams which have achieved success in past years, and are one of the top biggest English clubs. Some of their best players are Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba.
What I love about this team is their attacking style of playing and their topclass passing and defending.
